Common questions

Can my companion wait while I have dialysis?
Most people choose a drop-off and a pick-up, because sessions are long. If you would like someone with you, Attend & Support companion time is $2.50 per minute.
What if my session runs late?
Call us when you know, and we'll move your pick-up. Your companion will take things slowly on the way home.
Is there help with the cost?
Some people can get help with travel costs through Te Whatu Ora's National Travel Assistance scheme. Ask your renal team what you're eligible for.
